Dear Families,
Thank you for your interest in Evergreen Academy Elementary School. Since 1977, we have taken great pride in providing an exceptional education for students in kindergarten through fifth grade. Our reputation as one of the top private schools in the Bothell area is because of our rigorous, project-based curriculum and dedicated teachers.
At Evergreen, we offer a strong complement of Specialist instruction in the areas of Performing Arts, Art, Spanish/French, Library, Physical Education, and Technology. We have professional instructors that are dedicated to these additional content areas. These instructors work closely with our classroom teachers to provide a meaningful experience that connects students’ work in the classroom to their lives outside of school.
We provide personalized learning plans for every student; the effort to meet each child’s needs for growth socially, emotionally and academically is ongoing and intentional. The use formative and summative assessments to gather data on the academic growth of our students enable us to develop appropriate individualized instruction. Regular review and revision of the curriculum help us to ensure that we are delivering the best possible learning experience for our students. Our teachers “know” their students and can identify their strengths, challenges and passions while striving for a positive school experience and love of learning.
Education extends beyond the classroom. We continue to bring authentic learning to the classroom through field trips and speakers, as well as project-based learning and service learning opportunities.
We are a school committed to educating for excellence by empowering our students to become compassionate, confident, creative problem-solvers. Our committed staff works to ensure learning is challenging, relevant and dynamic. An important part of this work involves the key relationships with our parents and community and we value the importance of the home-to-school connection.
