From the Principal’s Office:
Dear Evergreen Families,
Welcome to November. October was filled with learning as our classrooms discussed fall and the changing of seasons. Each of our classes had the opportunity to take a field trip to a real working farm. The children truly enjoyed their visits, and were thrilled to pick out their very own pumpkins which they were able to take home. Thank you to all of our parent volunteers who accompanied the field trips, we truly appreciated your help!
I would like to remind you to dress your child in layers for the classroom and outdoor times. The temperatures have begun to drop, and morning outside time has been chilly. We go outside even in drizzly weather and would like every child to have a coat that is water proof and allows them to comfortably participate in the “outdoor” classroom. If you would like to send rain boots with your child for those wet days, please feel free to do so.
Looking ahead, we will have Parent-Teacher Conferences this month on November 22nd. Our school will be closed on this day; however we will be holding a Fall Cooking Camp. As a courtesy, we are also offering drop-in care for parents who will be bringing their child with them to conferences. Please be sure to sign your child up for camp or drop-in care if you plan on your child attending.
Wishing you and your family a fruitful Thanksgiving,
Lindsey Taylor, Principal
