From the Principal’s Office:
Dear Evergreen Families,
September has come to an end, and we are heading into October. It is hard to believe that the first month of school is already completed. On behalf of our entire staff I would like to thank each and every one of you for helping us make the transition back to school so seamless. We are enjoying getting to know all our new students, and happy to have so many familiar faces back.
The weather has been beautiful, but Fall is certainly upon us in the Seattle area. I would like to take a moment and remind you to dress your child in layers for the classroom and outdoor times. Children will go outside even in drizzly weather and would like every child to have a coat that is water proof and allows them to comfortably participate in the “outdoor” classroom.
October is a busy month, filled with lots of fun seasonal activities. All of our classrooms will be going on their first field trip to the Pumpkin Patch. Permission slips will be sent home and will need to be returned before the field trip date. On Tuesday, October 31st the whole school will be celebrating Halloween with a parade. Costumes are encouraged, but please remember to leave scary masks and weapons at home.
Our After School Enrichment program, The Grove has had a successful start. Our Fall Specialty classes include Acro, Amazing Athletes, Ballet, Drama LEGO Adventures, Soccer, and Yoga. If you missed the opportunity to join in the fun, you will have another chance to sign up for our Winter and Spring sessions.
