First Graders Learn About Sound During Visit to Soundbridge
As a complement to our sound and light unit in science, we went to Soundbridge, the education department at the Seattle Symphony. Students learned about how sound is made through vibrations and identified what vibrated on different instruments. Students were encouraged to play various instruments as well as complete a STEM activity where they had to create their own instruments! It was a great morning in Seattle! Thanks to the many parents who volunteered to make this event so successful!
