HIGHLIGHTS OF THE WEEK
Both of our 2nd grade classes performed an original play about Flat Stanley this week. Several students and staff members were surprised by some very funny April Fool’s Day pranks. We had a school wide fire, earthquake and lockdown drill. Our 5th graders presented their Sail America Expo and math and computer coding awards were presented at a special assembly. It was another busy week at Evergreen Academy!
The Pacific Science Center came to Kindergarten this week and showed the children how to build strong structures that can even withstand natural disasters like earthquakes and high wind. They followed several different building plans to create apartment buildings from blocks and pegs. They were truly acting as civil engineers!
